Dr. David Jurman is a graduate of Penn State University where he earned his baccalaureate. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine of the University of the State of New York and his Doctor of Medicine from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. His internship, residency and chief residency were all completed at the Mount Sinai Medical Center.
After his training, Dr. Jurman, who was raised in Suffolk County, returned to Long Island to practice with Plainview Oral and Maxillofacial Associates and Massapequa Oral Surgery. His surgical skills encompass the entire scope of treatment options for patients with congenital, acquired or traumatic problems of the oral cavity, maxillofacial skeleton and associated structures. His skills include the repair of all facial fractures, orthognathic jaw surgery. Dental and craniofacial implants as well as associated bone grafting, laser surgery and temporomandibular joint disorders.
Dr. Jurman is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the New York Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He maintains hospital affiliations with North Shore-Long Island Jewish Hospital in Manhasset, Long Island Jewish Hospital in New Hyde Park, Elmhurst Trauma Center, North Shore Hospital in Plainview and Syosset.
