Dr. Richard Berg is a graduate of the University of Rochester and New York University College of Dentistry and served his internship, residency and chief residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Queens Hospital Center. Dr. Berg received a post-graduate certificate in oral and maxillofacial surgery from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. He is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Berg is a senior attending oral surgeon, teaching at the resident training program of both Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. He serves on the interview committee for the latter teaching program. He is a clinical assistant professor of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. He is currently Co-chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at North Shore University Hospital at Plainview. Dr. Berg is the oral surgeon on the professional liability committee of the Nassau County Dental Society.
