Meet Dr. Rosenberg

Dr. Tracey Rosenberg is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who joined this practice in 2005. She was born and raised in Winnipeg, Canada and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Minnesota in 1997 and her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from The State University of New York at Stony Brook, School of Medicine in 2000. She then completed an internship in General Surgery at The University Hospital and Medical Center at Stony Brook in 2001, and a post-doctoral residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 2003. Dr. Rosenberg spent the next two years as a full-time Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center, School of Dental and Oral Surgery. There, she performed complex facial reconstructive surgeries for patients with craniofacial anomalies and dentofacial deformities.

Dr. Rosenberg is well-trained in all areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery including dentoalveolar and implant surgery, facial trauma and reconstructive surgery, orthognathic surgery and alveolar cleft repair, She has a special interest in minimally invasive cosmetic facial surgery and facial rejuvenation, and is one of the co-authors of a book entitled “Minimally Invasive Techniques of Oculo-facial Rejuvenation”. Dr. Rosenberg was also the co-author of an article published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2004 which described the relationship between the use of bisphosphonates for patients with cancer and osteoporosis, and the development of jaw necrosis following dental treatment. This is a problem receiving widespread attention in the fields of dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery, oncology and medicine.

Dr. Rosenberg is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a member of the New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Nassau County Dental Society and the American Dental Association.
